Pregnancy Exercise-Swimming

It’s summer, so it’s hot and it’s the perfect excuse for pregnant women to be in the pool!  Swimming is great for pregnant women because you’ll feel light and bouyant.  Try this simple exercise to tone your inner and outer thighs.  Standing in the shallow end step or lightly jump your feet apart then bring your feet back together.  Work up to 3 sets of 15-20 reps.  In between sets walk from one side to the other.

DuPont sets health solutions plant;eyes Rs50cr revenue

NEW DELHI: Science-based products and services provider DuPont on Tuesday said it will commission a plant at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh to manufacture animal and human healthcare solutions, seeking to earn Rs 50 crore revenue from the business in the next 2-3 years.

"The plant is in the testing stage... It would commence production by the end of this month," DuPont India President and CEO Balvinder S Kalsi told reporters here today.

"The initiative makes sense in the wake of spread of epidemic like avian flu. The company will manufacture a range of bio-security chemicals including cleaners, disinfectants and sanitisers at the plant to prevent such diseases from mutating to humans," DuPont Animal Health Solutions Regional Marketing Manager (Asia Pacific) Dipal Parikh said.

The plant is capable to meet requirements of domestic as well as overseas market, Parikh said.

DuPont India, a subsidiary of US-based E I du Pont de Nemours and Company, earlier imported the products from its plant in the United Kingdom.

The products from the Baddi plant would be customised to suit needs of Indian farmers and would be marketed in the country through its channel partner Pfizer.

DuPont India is a USD 400 million company and endeavours to maintain a year-on-year growth of over 20 per cent. It expects to clock Rs 16-17 crore this fiscal, Kalsi said.

The bio-security business is expected to yield Rs 30-50 crore revenue in 2-3 years time, he said.

The company is present in agriculture, automotive paints, construction, safety and polymer segments in the country.

Postpartum Exercise for Weight Loss

A great postpartum exercise for weight loss is what I call the “football shuffle”.  What you do is start at one side of a room squat down low and quickly bring your feet together then apart.  Shuffle across the room or outside about 20 feet.  Work up to two to three sets 10 repetitions.  Make sure to walk in between sets until your heart rate comes back down.  The ”football shuffle” is a great exercise because it tones your inner and outer thighs, and buttocks, plus it gets your hear rate up so you burn more calories.

Blend and serve–yummy!
3 Frozen strawberries
1/2 a frozen banana
1/4-1/2 cup of orange juice (folic acid is great for developing your baby!)
